The American Historical Theatre Presents: Loic Barnieu as The Marquis de Lafayette
The American Historical Theatre is the country’s leading presenter of educational interpretations of historical characters. A non-profit 501© 3 organization, AHT has gathered together a fine group of historians, teachers and actors who specialize in programs distilling serious biographical information through entertaining and informative presentations that keep audiences attentive and engaged.
In Loic Barnieu, AHT was fortunate to find a young Frenchman who majored in science and philosophy while attending a private boarding academie in Paris. His attention was caught by stories of the young Lafayette who traveled to America with his retinue to join George Washington at the age of nineteen. Garnering further diplomas as he decided to become an actor, Loic studied at The French Acting School in Paris and privately with Catherine Brieux. He also produced a short film, “La Jeune Fille et la Morte.
When he came to the United States, Loic studied at the famous Hedgerow Theater and appeared with Theater Double and the Delaware Theater Company. In addition to his presentation lectures about Lafayette, Loic is part owner of two restaurants in Media and an expert on food and wines. He is married to an American girl and has three children.
